The Chairperson is the key spokesperson for the ABCS and represents the organization as its main spokesperson.
Wendy Redhead
Director of Finance and Operations
Wendy Redhead (she/her) was elected as the Alliance’s Director of Finance and Operations in Summer 2024. She is a graduate student at Royal Roads University pursuing an M.A. in Leadership (Health Specialisation), and serves as the Vice-President Online at the Royal Roads University Student Association.
Wendy is a first-generation settler in Canada, residing upon the unceded ancestral homeland of the Halkomelem-speaking peoples. She is passionate about social and health equity, and promoting education and civic participation as methods to challenge embedded colonial practices that perpetuate those inequities.
As a mid-career professional, Wendy brings 20+ years of international experience in administration and management, and a commitment to responsible stewardship and governance of the Alliance.
Introducing our Board of Directors
The work of the ABCS is governed by a board of directors, made up of student leaders from each of our member associations. The board approves the strategic plan, the budget, our advocacy campaigns, and they provide oversight for the work of our executive team.
