This policy paper formed the foundation of our “Where’s the Housing?” campaign, which resulted in a $450 million investment from the provincial government to build on-campus housing. We take these concerns and work on your behalf to address them through a variety of avenues. We do this through meeting directly with elected officials and government staff, participating in stakeholder groups, collaborating with other associations on open letters on key issues, producing research documents and reports, writing press releases for traditional media outlets, and participating in public awareness events. Hassan has run youth civic engagement programs for CityHive and North Shore Community Resources and worked in various settings in non-profits, labour unions, and post-secondary education.
