Constating Documents


The name and purposes, and most important principles under which the Alliance is organized, are set out in a the constitution; the constitution has not been amended since it was originally approved by the Alliance’s chartering members at an organizing meeting that took place from November 29 to December 1, 2013 and, in fact, many of its clauses are currently unalterable.


The Alliance operates according to a set of bylaws that are always approved and amended, from time to time, at general meetings of our member student associations. The bylaws were last amended at a special general meeting on November 15, 2015. The bylaws are typically amended only by a three-quarters resolution of member student associations.


In addition to the constitution and the bylaws of the Alliance, the board of directors also sets additional rules that provide guidance to the officers in the day-to-day business of the Alliance. The Alliance’s current regulations were approved by the board on June 20, 2015. The regulations can be added to, amended, or repealed by a two-thirds resolution of the directors present at a board meeting.
